We strive to provide a quality educational program to motivate and challenge each student, while providing for individual needs. We support the true Montessori philosophy by making Montessori teachings available to everyone regardless of economic challenges.

Music Grants
For the 2011-2012 school year, the Montessori Schoolhouse has received two grants to support its weekly music programs—a $2,000 Arts & Culture in Schools Grant from Target and $250 Mini-Grant from C&S Wholesale Grocers. The Arts & Culture in Schools Grant from Target is given to in-school arts programs that enhance students’ classroom curriculum; the C&S Mini-Grant is given to local groups to effect positive change in communities. These grants will enrich the students’ classroom experience with music. The Toddler program, for children ages 18 months to 3 years, offers a weekly 45-minute Music Together class taught by Nancy Salwen. The Preschool program, for children ages 2 years 8 months to 6 years, offers a weekly 30-minute Suzuki Music class taught by Rebecca Junnila.
