Cow Drop Official Rules
1. A maximum of 500 tickets will be sold for $10 each.
2. Individuals who purchase tickets will need to select a number from 1 to 100, which will
correspond to a square on the field.
3. The number of tickets purchased for each square will be posted and regularly updated
on the Montessori Schoolhouse website.
4. Three cows will be released into a fenced area at Stonewall Farm that will be approximately
100’ x 100’, divided into 100 squares of equal size.
5. The official start to the event will be 15 minutes after all three cows have been brought to the field.
6. The first, second and third “deposits” made by the cows will determine the winning 1st, 2nd and 3rd place squares.
7. For each of the three winning squares, a name will be drawn from the tickets with those square numbers and those three ticket holders will be the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place grand prize winners.
8. The remaining ticket holders from each of the winning squares will be pooled together and 12 names will be selected at random as the winners of smaller prizes.
9. In the event that the deposit lands across multiple squares, the winning square will be the one that holds the largest share of the deposit. An impartial judge will be present in order to make the determination.
10. If there are not three “deposits” within the allotted time period, winning squares will be drawn at random.
11. Ticketholders need not be present to win and the event will be held rain or shine.
12. Observers at the event are prohibited from influencing the cows in any way.
13. Tickets may only be sold to individuals 16 years of age or older.
14. The Montessori Schoolhouse reserves the right to change the location or date of the event if necessitated by circumstances beyond their control.
