Montessori Schoolhouse Receives Mini-Grant from Keene Rotary

The Montessori Schoolhouse of Cheshire County received a grant for $350 in December from the Keene Rotary’s Success-by-Six Committee to support Montessori Schoolhouse’s commitment to providing their students with hands-on experience making healthy food choices and preparing nutritious snacks. The school has used the money to purchase a large crockpot and freezer, mixing bowls, bakeware, utensils, and a blender, to expand their ability to incorporate cooking and food preparation lessons in the preschool classrooms. The Montessori Schoolhouse is a non-profit school with a volunteer Board of Directors. The school serves children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years, providing developmentally appropriate Montessori-based toddler and pre-school education.
