Kindergarten

M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Our Kindergarten offers Montessori students the opportunity to learn in a small group and learn skills in reading, writing, math and geography. They are well prepared for first grade.

In math, students move beyond linear counting and into place value, addition and subtraction operations, measurement, money, time and fractions. Many Kindergarten students will learn how to build, write and complete operations with four-digit numbers. In reading, children learn to blend letter sounds together to make words. They learn to write words as they sound out each of the sounds they hear. Kindergartners also learn about different parts of the world.

Learning enhancements include NHDI, Harris Center for Conservation Education and learning about horses at the nearby ELM Farm.

We consider Kindergarten a gift of time to your child - time to learn, time to be a mentor to younger children, time to build confidence and additional skills.
